Required jobs in North oil company and their details:
1. Well Performance Asset Engineer Developee (Nationals Only)
Accountabilities
- Provide Al Shaheen production optimization & operations experience, direction and guidance to the NOC
- production & well performance team in order to maximize production and injection performance.
- This position contributes significantly and directly to the field’s ability to meet production budget target
- through the identification of short term and long-term opportunities to improve production performance
- and well potential, and ensuring Field Ops team is competent in the optimization of the wells whilst
- ensuring that wells are operating under their operational envelops.
- The well performance engineer keep the well models up to date and monitor, diagnose and propose
- solutions and is accountable for the well potential and Locked in Potential.
- The position is accountable for the continuous well diagnostics and the lease with reservoir and well
- services teams in order to propose actions and solutions.
- The position is in front line on the start-up, clean up and performance evaluation of the new wells.
- In charge of the well opportunities will ensure that the opportunity database is up to date, it will lease
- with offshore and Well Services to define the priority of the interventions.
2. Head, Engineering Support
Accountabilities
- Support the engineering resources within the organization and projects, check the adequation of the COMPANY Engineering work force, identify and address the needs for replacement or reinforcement,
- Assist the Engineering Manager to identify and support the allocation of the scope and resources between the support organization, packages engineering heads/coordinators and new projects.
- Support the inter package technical decisions/arbitrations with the Engineering heads/coordinators and the TRPs, CPD, D&W, E&C, HSEQ, FOPS and other stakeholders.
- Review the CPN/SCN and provide the engineering position prior further decision by project,
- Review and monitor the project engineering progress with the packages; monitor and support when required all actions to secure the progress of the engineering in accordance with the time schedule.
- Ensure that technical optimizations are captured, reviewed, and implemented when validated,
- Ensure that Engineering meets the organization's safety regulations, reach the quality conformance with involvement in the project reviews and NOC or contractor engineering audits,
- Ensure that lessons learnt and feedbacks are captured and considered by Engineering team,
- Monitor the quality of the engineering deliverables, consistency and their robustness to secure the project and also to be used for the next project phases and post project operation phases,
- Ensure that in the scope of its project, communication is efficient with all NOC engineering and functional team members,
- Monitor that Engineering tasks/studies are well managed as per NOC standards, contractual requirements and consistency across all packages, with a placement in due time of proposed deviations.
- Ensure projects engineering scope of work is delivered by Engineering team according to project objectives, statement of requirement, NOC specification/standards and contractual requirements.
3. Senior Application Engineer
Activities
- Serve as the primary business contact for a set of application services of Subsurface business lines, independently managing and maintaining specific applications and systems to ensure optimal service levels by minimizing unplanned downtime.
- Provide expert support for software solutions used by Subsurface business lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network-related issues within designated solutions.
- Liaise with software vendors, other business units, and internal Digital Business Solutions teams to support and update designated software solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration between Subsurface solutions and other systems (e.g., digital data platforms, reporting tools, and business solutions from other departments).
- Lead and coordinate the deployment of new solutions or technological updates for Subsurface business lines, aligning with business needs, company standards, business processes, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Digital Business Solutions, business stakeholders, and vendor teams to define and implement effective architectural designs for new and existing solutions.
- Support the testing and rollout of software upgrades and patches.
- Ensure that designated software solutions comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for all managed software solutions.
- Manage contracts and license agreements for software solutions used by Subsurface business lines.
- Monitor and report on service availability, license and resource utilization, and the value delivered by managed software solutions.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- 7-10 years in an oil industry working on Subsurface-related software solutions.
- Strong knowledge on IT domains (network, systems, applications and databases).
- 7-10 years experience in implementation and maintenance of Petroleum Solutions.
- 7-10 years experience as part of an Oil & Gas organization.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and support changes.
- Fluent in English both spoken & written. Excellent inter-personal skills.
