Required jobs in Midmac company and their details:
1. Estimator
A B.Sc. /B. Tech. degree holder in Engineering from an accredited university. 10 – 15 years of relevant experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Building estimation is essential, as well as Minimum 5 years’ experience in Building projects in Qatar. A thorough understanding of Ashghal project requirements and familiarity with QCS 2014 are essential. The candidate should also be proficient in cost estimation software, particularly CCS Candy, possess strong English communication skills, and be competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
- Prepares estimates and budgets for tenders/projects assigned.
- Supervises quantity surveyors and office engineers to insure complete and accurate estimates.
- Participates in preparing materials/subcontractor adjudication reports and consequently selection of proper materials/subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive estimate.
- Reviews all final estimate packages to assure accuracy and completeness prior to final submission.
- Provides assistance in the study and recommendations of method statements, procedures and scheduling as required.
- Provides technical assistance in negotiating contracts upon award.
- Prepares the project implementation manual (Budget file) and provides technical assistance to project team during early construction phase and as necessary.
- Prepares change orders.
- Tracks actual cost relative to budget as project develops.
2. Quantity Surveyor (Tendering)
A BSc degree holder in Quantity Surveying or any BSc Engineering degree from an accredited university with relevant certifications. 5-10 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, with a strong focus on tendering and estimation, and strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office and CAD software, are required.
Applicants should possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in calculating quantities from complex drawings and plans, and must be able to communicate effectively with others on the project team. Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
- Reviewing tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities, to understand the scope of work and requirements.
- Perform detailed take-offs and create quantity reports based on project tender drawings, specifications, and project scope.
- Work with project teams to ensure that all quantities are accounted for and verified at various stages of the project.
- Maintain and update quantity calculation records and reports to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Provide accurate quantity data to assist estimators in cost analysis and budgeting for materials and labor.
3. Accountant
Job Description:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from an accredited university is required.
- Candidates must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with large-scale projects.
- A strong understanding of project accounting and financial controls is essential.
- Applicants should be proficient in monthly ledger closing and possess advanced Excel and spreadsheet building skills.
- Strong English communication abilities and competency in Microsoft Office applications are also required.
- Knowledge of financial reporting is an advantage.
- Candidates with transferable QID may apply.
