Your role and responsibilities
- Performing the after-sales site execution function at local level, with full accountability of running the day-to- day operation and to overachieve customer expectations through lean, fault-less operational execution (Care, Customer, Cost, Cash), in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost.
- Visiting customers across Oman generating sales prospects for service business of Measurement & Analytics Division.
- Owning and accountable to deliver Local Division /Site-level RELEX KPIs in line with ABB expectations.
- Accountable to ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, policies, and procedures related to after sales site execution. - Accountable for site risk management, validating and improving reliability and effectiveness of after sales site executions
- Representing ABB as Service Engineer for Analytical products.
- Planning & ensuring all service needs of customer in the country are met in timely manner.
- Leading all activities related to service portfolio like commissioning, emergency and shutdown services, AMC, Training, documentation, etc.
- Engaging and leading customer FAT, Pre-FAT, SAT and other site activities.
- Co-ordinating with Factory and subcontractors as required for any support.
- Supporting sales team by suggesting various service offerings we can do.
- Supporting in offer preparation as required.
- Supporting regional and global LSUs as required for service requirements.
- Providing training to customers and channel partners on need basis.
- Constantly looking out for service opportunities and inform sales.
- Ability to communicate and work with multinational teams based globally.
- Handle customer site independently for service requirements like Commissioning, AMC, shut-down and emergency maintenance, telephonic support, and training.
- Have thorough knowledge of analyzer shelters and cabinets.
- Possess adequate knowledge to commission, troubleshoot and service the analyzer systems.
- Thorough planning and scheduling of activities to ensure maximum output within less time.
- Plan for self-training well in advance for various products and solutions offered.
- Seek factory and SIU support as and when required to complete the activities.
- Keeping proper records for the activities done and ensure service billing on regular basis.
- Pushing for ABB service portfolio and support sales in getting service orders.
- Engaging with factory / SIU from engineering stage and be present for Pre-FAT, FAT, SAT, and other activities.
Qualifications for the role
- Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Petroleum Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in analytical service preferred
- Good knowledge & understanding of ABB Measurement & Analytics Product portfolio.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work with multinational and multi-cultural team based globally.
